Core Concept

  • Premise: A concise, single-sentence summary of the story's central idea.
  • Genre: (e.g., Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Thriller, Romance, etc.)
  • Theme: The underlying message or exploration of a universal idea (e.g., redemption, love vs. duty, the corrupting influence of power).

Protagonist (Main Character)

  • Name:
  • Backstory (Brief): Key experiences that shape their present.
  • External Goal: The concrete, achievable objective they pursue in the story.
  • Core Desire/Need: What they truly yearn for, often beyond their immediate goal.
  • Motivation: Why achieving the goal is crucial to them.
  • Internal Conflict/Flaw: A psychological or emotional weakness that hinders them.
  • External Obstacles: Specific challenges they face in pursuit of their goal.
    • Examples:
  • Moral Dilemmas/Choices: Significant decisions that test their values.
    • Examples:
  • Character Arc:
    • Type: (Transformation, Growth, Fall, Static)
    • Summary: A brief description of the character's change or lack thereof.

Conflict & Stakes

  • Primary Conflict: The central struggle that drives the narrative.
    • Type: (Person vs. Self, Person vs. Person, Person vs. Society, Person vs. Nature, Person vs. Fate)
  • Stakes: What the protagonist and others stand to gain or lose.
    • Personal Stakes:
